After stumbling upon her grandfather’s secret box, Casiopea unknowingly releases the Mayan God of Death, Hun-Kamé, who takes her on an adventure of a lifetime. Casiopea journeys through Mexico to the Mayan underworld, Xibalba, to help Hun-Kamé recover his throne and find her place in the world.

Inspired by the Popol Vuhl, this dark tale explores the complex relationship between ancient Maya mythology and traditional Mexican culture, what it means to be a modern woman in an era breaking free from tradition, and love, life and death.
